Moving Into Stillness
This is one of the new MBSR meditations. This meditation starts with some gentle lying mindful movement, then a short body scan and finishes with a sitting breath meditation. It can be helpful when we have been busy or agitated or are feeling a bit unmotivated to start with some movement. It helps shift us from the flight/flight mode into a more recuperative, gathered easy state. Movement can also help us bring attention to something more vividly as it offers a bit more stimulation.
